Behind the Seeds Tour

@ Epcot!

Epcot has a whole greenhouse that produces veggies and fish for the Disney restaurants. If you have visited, you may have taken the boat ride (that's what we did last time) but this time we paid $16 to go behind the seeds! Totally worth it!

This is how they shape their mickey mouse veggies. Put it in that little plastic case and let it grow ears.

Our guide explaining to us that the tomato plant/tree (behind) produced a load of tomatoes.

cotton- I don't know what they would use this for. Maybe pillows and blankets for the resort? I think she said something about using it for cooking....

They also have fish and alligators.

Bananas!
Tea garden
Hidden Mickey...I love this place! I wish I worked here~

  1. I vividly recall that the first time I had ever seen or heard of hydroponic tomatoes (grown w/o soil) was at Epcot Center and that was decades ago (won't say precisely how long...!) I would love to go back and take this tour!

Thanks so much for your comment on my blog. I am currently preparing for a trip so have not had a chance to reply to it on the post, but will soon have it up. 8-)

  4. I recently visited a horticultural college garden and they were growing tomatoes in a beautiful victorian greenhouse like grape vines.
They looked stunning trailing along the walls and roof with the tomatoes hanging like grapes.
