Do you think my pineapple wil grow bigger? The "directions" on the pot said that the pineapple is not edible...are there non-edible pineapples?

Pineapple Plant
Kitchen Flavours and A Beautiful Mess guessed right! My new plant is a pineapple plant, and I got it from IKEA......I know, very unexpected! But since the weather is getting chilly, the pineapple is inside the house, and I'm assuming it will wither away very soon.
