Camouflage fish

This is a picture of a fish tank they had at the Epcot. If you look closely, there will be a fish...its hiding in its own skin.

I actually posted this up when I first started blogging, but I don't think anyone looks at it anymore, so this is a repeat for the newcomers!

Fruit Art

Way back when I was in college, I would always sit in front of my computer to "study" but always ended up surfing the net for the stupidest stuff. It always seemed like as long as you're in front of the computer, you're studying in some way. Anyway, these are some art pieces I found during those surfing days, and I hope you get a kick out of it.

for Sunaina (thanks for enjoying my blog!)

My 48th follower

Please leave a comment if you are my 48th follower =) When I first started blogging I thought that if I had 48 followers (just a random number I chose) my blog would be a huge success (to me that is) and I'm almost near!

Avocado Seed

We have been eating guacamole every night and I wanted to make use of the avocado seeds. So, I decided to plant them....in soil (It was late and I didn't want to turn on my computer and search how to plant an avocado seed). The way you're supposed to do it is like this:

Edible Tropicals knows the real deal

But I had no toothpicks and was too lazy to go get it, so I made my own device out of water bottles.
I turned the bottle around and rested the seed on the mouthpiece and ta-da! it actually works. However, I'm not sure if you're suppose to actually poke it to make it sprout, so all you experts, let me know!

Felt Art

My store is participating! Yesterday while I was out to Michael's (art supplies store) I realized it was like 4:46 and happy hour is almost over...So we turned the car (legally) and headed to starbucks and got a venti green tea frap! mmmm tastes so good when its only $2.46 :)

Meanwhile, my artsy side has taken over me (so did my love for bubble tea) and I decorated a wooden frame I had bought.

I wasn't sure what I was doing at first so I just cut out the pieces.

I glued them together and ta-da! Now I am craving for bubble tea more than ever.

I'm going to tell you what flavors the colors represent. Starting from the right top and going clockwise : royal milk tea, strawberry milk tea, green tea, passion fruit, thai iced tea, and coffee (I am such a dork and this was so unnecessary.)

And then I felt like this project ended too fast, so I made some popsicles and ice cream and cupcake.

The popsicles represent life saver popsicles (which they don't have in my area). After making all this, I'm done with felt art, and now I am moving on to this world of amazement (which I will tell you in my next post).
Have a great weekend!

Starbucks Happy Hour

Go to a participating Starbucks between 3 and 5 p.m.(May 7-16), and enjoy a half-price Frappuccino® blended beverage.

My store better be "participating", or I vow never to go to Starbucks again.

guava & fries

These days, my love for tropical fruit and bubble tea is at a peak, so I decided to get myself a tropical drink at the international section of my supermarket. Since we were at hawaii a couple of months ago, we decided to get the guava drink.

It came in this can that was unbreakable, and the juice was very very very thick. And it even smelled a bit vinegary. After we drank half of it, I realized that I had bought guava nectar....which is used for cooking and baking I believe. Oops! But no worries, nothing has happened and we are  A-okay.

After drinking nectar, I had to clear out my mouth, so we went to go get some McDonalds.

Does anyone else dip their fries in a sundae or milkshake? It really tastes like heaven (with a lot of cholesterol).

plant & corn

I did the second repot of my tomato plants, and I think they are ready to go outside. It has fuzz on the stems and is growing its third and fourth leaf!

And another excitement for the day:

I am totally in love with this sweet corn. I can eat two in one sitting (and then when I stand up I realize how full I am and start to regret...)

Mango Ice Cream

Ok, so I tried this mango ice cream from haagen dazs, and I usually never look at the nutrition facts or the ingredients, but guess what I found :

Next to ingredients, it says "carrot juice concentrate", but before that it says "pumpkin juice concentrate" (I was stupid enough to cut off the pumpkin part). What has pumpkin and carrot have to do with mango flavor? maybe the color?

The plastic spoon inside is literally just a plastic stick, so I used my own spoon (I miss the wooden spoons). The first few bites were amazing, but after I read the carrot and the pumpkin, it started tasting very vegetably. Next time I want to try the dulce de leche or the passion fruit flavor...has anyone tried it?

Arcimboldo

Giuseppe Arcimboldo (1527-1593) italian painter

Out of all the great master painters, I think Arcimboldo is the true genius - see for yourself:
