One of our new year's resolution was to eat healthier, but of course we weren't going to give up pizza, so we made it at home....with whole wheat! It actually doesn't taste that bad, but you can tell it's whole wheat (whatever that's supposed to mean).
Does anyone know the difference between whole wheat and white whole wheat?
I wasn't sure if the basil goes in the oven...does it?
Definitely looks odd with the shriveled basils, but it still tasted pretty good!

You're so right - I am obsessed with anything s'mores!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the good idea, we should really start eating healthier too and I guess switching up the pizza base to wheat is a good place to start!
The pizza looks great..and I don't mind the shriveled basil at all.
ReplyDeleteWholewheat pizza - looks great and you can feel less guilty eating it!
ReplyDeletepizza looks wonderful
ReplyDeleteWhite whole wheat comes from albino wheat. It's just lighter in color naturally than whole wheat flour derived from darker grains.
ReplyDeleteThis pizza looks wonderful. I love whole wheat flour. And, oh how I love pizza! =)
P.S. Thank you for the sweet compliment of my little cub. <3

I'm beginning to love home-made pizza more than store-bought though we still buy out a lot since I'm lazy :P And the basil goes in the oven too, but it's usually covered by cheese so it doesn't get frizzled like that :)
