I think I spend the most time picking out avocados when I'm at the market, just because it's a hit or miss.

Most of the avocados in the store are hard as rocks! I bring them home and invariably leave them out too long and they get mushy. Sigh. If only I didn't love them so. :)

ReplyDeleteI can relate totally! I just love avocados. I eat them plain as a meal or a snack. Just yesterday I cut into one and it looked just like the second picture. What a heartbreak!
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate too. When we were in France one of the shop owners showed me how to check their freshness. (They don't want you to touch the fruit and vegetables there). He said take your finger and if the little black seed at the pop tops off, it's ripe. Trouble is here in the states, they all pop off. Go figure.
